FAQ

Does Acupuncture hurt?

Upon insertion of the needle, patients feel a variety of sensations.  This can range from a feeling of pressure, a small electric like shock, slight pinching, or no even no sensation at all.  This is the body’s energy responding to stimulation.  The end goal is to create a completely relaxed feeling for the whole body.

Is Acupuncture Safe?

Safety is our most important concern.  Jason is Clean Needle Technique certified and tested through the NCCAOM.  He is committed to adhere to the highest industry standards of safety for his patients.

What Should I do before I come to my treatment?

Wear baggy, comfortable clothing that can be easily adjusted.  Garments like loose t-shirts, shorts or sweatpants are usually best.  It is best to avoid tights, leggings or long yoga pants.

Eat a light snack, like a granola bar, nuts or a bit of oatmeal.  It is best to have something in your stomach before treatment.

You should also bring a list of any prescription drugs or supplements you are taking, as well as any medical lab work or documents relating to what you want to work on.  This can help us to better guide the treatment.

What should I expect after the treatment?

Just as each session is tailored to each person individually, each person will have different experiences.  Some people feel extremely relaxed after, some people feel more energized.  This aspect varies from person to person.

How many treatments will it take?

For some cases, results and improvement may be felt immediately after the first treatment.  For more complex cases, relief may require a series of treatments.  For situations that require multiple treatments, please inquire about our package deals.
